According to the “Offshore Wind Power Review and Outlook” report released on June 17, China continues to maintain its absolute global leadership in offshore wind power, ranking first in the world in terms of new installed capacity, cumulative capacity, and technological advancements. In 2025, global new grid-connected offshore wind power capacity reached 9.252 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 16%. Of this, China accounted for 7.192 million kilowatts, representing a staggering 78% of the global total. By the end of 2025, China’s cumulative offshore wind power installed capacity had reached 52.042 million kilowatts, accounting for 56% of the global total, making it the core driving force behind the development of the global offshore wind power industry.
Amid the industry’s rapid growth, China’s offshore wind power sector has officially entered a new phase characterized by “large-megawatt turbines, advanced technology, and offshore expansion.” Over the past decade, the unit capacity of China’s offshore wind turbines has increased from the 3-megawatt class to over 10 megawatts. In 2025, a 26-megawatt prototype—the world’s largest offshore wind turbine developed independently—successfully connected to the grid, setting a new world record. At the same time, exports of domestically produced wind power equipment have surged, with annual exports of wind turbines growing by 48.9% year-over-year. Industry forecasts indicate that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the average annual increase in domestic offshore wind power installed capacity will exceed 15 million kilowatts, with cumulative installed capacity expected to surpass 100 million kilowatts by 2030. Offshore wind power is evolving from an alternative energy source to a core, dominant energy source in the new power system.
The trends toward larger turbines and deeper offshore locations place more stringent demands on core components. As core connecting components of wind turbines, fasteners are widely used in critical locations such as tower flanges, blade roots, nacelle bases, and offshore pile foundations. Data shows that over 60% of an offshore wind turbine’s structure relies on fastener connections, while 15%–20% of structural failures in offshore wind turbines are caused by bolt corrosion, loosening, or fatigue failure. It can be said that the quality of fasteners directly determines the operational safety and O&M costs of wind turbines. Extreme operating conditions at sea—including high salt fog, severe typhoons, and continuous vibration—make standard fasteners highly susceptible to rust, loosening, reduced service life, and downtime for repairs. This represents a core pain point prevalent across the industry.
The rapid development of offshore wind power has created a significant demand for high-end fasteners. To address the challenges of supplying fasteners for these extreme operating conditions, Jiaxing Aoke has specialized in the high-end fastener sector for many years, specializing in a full range of industrial fastener products. We support customization based on provided drawings and on-demand adaptation, and are professionally equipped to handle the customization and supply of various standard and non-standard fasteners for offshore wind power applications, precisely addressing the industry’s pain points of “corrosion, loosening, breakage, and high O&M costs.” In terms of material selection, we use specialized high-strength alloy materials tailored to the harsh operating conditions of wind power, combined with precise heat treatment processes. This significantly enhances tensile strength and fatigue resistance, enabling the fasteners to withstand the heavy, alternating loads of multi-megawatt wind turbines over the long term.
All products undergo comprehensive testing for torque, hardness, corrosion resistance, and non-destructive testing before leaving the factory, ensuring that no defective products are installed on wind turbines. With our robust manufacturing processes, flexible customization capabilities based on customer drawings, comprehensive product range, and consistent quality, we can fully meet the standard and non-standard component requirements for offshore wind power projects and wind turbine equipment.
