Stainless steel precision screws: Small parts with big functions

2025-06-26

Stainless steel precision screws are widely used in machinery, petrochemical, communication, chemical, construction, electricity, textile, sports equipment, paper making, sewage treatment, shipbuilding, automobile and other industries, with a very wide range of applications. Stainless steel precision screws are made of stainless steel wire by cold heading or turning.

AoKe can produce and supply a variety of stainless steel precision machine screws. According to the different material stainless steel, SS304 precision screws are made of stainless steel A2, also called 1.4301. Stainless steel A2 screws can maintain good stability in most environments and are suitable for general humid environments and outdoor. SS316 precision screws are made of stainless steel A4. SUS316 adds the element molybdenum and has stronger corrosion resistance. Therefore, stainless steel A4 precision screws are often used in marine environments, petrochemical equipment and medical equipment, etc., which have high requirements for corrosion resistance. 316L stainless steel precision screws: 316L is a low-carbon version of SS316, with better resistance to intergranular corrosion. A4L screws are not prone to intergranular corrosion during welding and are suitable for occasions where welding is required, such as chemical pipelines, shipbuilding, etc. SS303 screws: Suitable for stainless steel screws that can only be produced by lathing. SS303 has good machinability and can be used to make miniature screws and screws with very small dimensional tolerances.

Classified by shape, hexagonal head screws: Hexagonal head screws are one of the most widely used types of screws. Their heads are hexagonal, which is convenient for tightening and loosening with a wrench. Common standards are DIN933 and ISO4017. Round head stainless steel precision screws: The head of the round head screw is round, and the grooves are hexagonal socket and torx (hexalobular Socket). It is suitable for occasions with high surface requirements, such as furniture and electronic equipment. Common standards are ISO7380-1 and ISO7380-2. Countersunk stainless steel precision screws: The head of the countersunk screw is flat and can be embedded in the material to be connected, so that the surface remains flat. It is often used in wood products, automotive interiors and furniture products. Common standards include DIN7991, DIN965, ISO14581, ISO14582. Pan head stainless steel screw: Its head is rounded and disc-shaped, and the grooves are phillips (cross recessed), pozi, slot, square socket and hexagon socket. It is commonly used in electronic equipment, machinery manufacturing, and furniture manufacturing. Common standards are DIN7985, ISO14583, ISO1580.
