Application of duplex stainless steel D2-80 fasteners

D2-80 is a duplex stainless steel. "D2" represents the duplex steel group, and "80" indicates a minimum tensile strength of 800 N/mm². Duplex stainless steel D2-80 screws offer stronger anti-lock thread than SS304 screws. The addition of 22% chromium to D2-80 creates a denser passive film than 304 stainless steel. Composed of approximately 50% austenite stainless steel and 50% ferrite, D2-80 combines the corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel with high strength and corrosion resistance.

Duplex stainless steel D2-80 has a lower nickel content, which not only reduces the cost of raw materials, but also reduces the impact of nickel price fluctuations on raw material prices. When corrosion resistance requirements exceed 316L, D2-80 bolts, nuts, and washers are significantly cheaper than 316L stainless steel. Surface coating reduces maintenance costs and increases the lifespan of bolts and nuts.
